2

Day 2 : Green River/Moab - 245 km

Continue with a full day dedicated to exploring Canyonlands National Park. Leaving Green River, you’ll have the opportunity to make a short 20 km detour to Crystal Geyser before taking the scenic route via Floy towards Moab.

A spectacular 40-kilometre off-road track then leads you deep into the heart of the national park. Don’t miss the breathtaking views from Dead Horse Point State Park, one of the most iconic panoramas in the American West. You’ll then descend along a smaller dirt track to reach the famous Potash Road, following dramatic canyon scenery all the way to Moab.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

3

Day 3 : Moab

Enjoy a full day exploring Moab and its spectacular surroundings. For those seeking adrenaline, swap your 4x4 for a SSV and head into the famous Sand Flats Recreation Area, one of the best playgrounds in the region for off-road enthusiasts. Alternatively, you can spend around two hours driving the legendary Shafer Trail, a spectacular dirt road descending through dramatic canyon landscapes.

Continue your day towards Castle Valley, following one of the most scenic roads overlooking the Colorado River. In the late afternoon, head to Arches National Park to discover its extraordinary geological formations. As the sun begins to set, the warm golden light transforms the park’s famous red sandstone arches into an unforgettable spectacle, offering incredible photographic opportunities before returning to Moab.

4

Day 4 : Moab/Cortez - 286 km

Leave Moab behind as you head towards Monticello. Along the way, discover the unusual Hole N'' The Rock, a unique home carved directly into the rock. Continue with a stop at the impressive Wilson Arch, easily accessible via a short trail offering spectacular views of this massive natural arch.

The route then leads to Lopez Arch, a lesser-known but equally remarkable rock formation. Don’t miss Newspaper Rock State Historic Monument, an extraordinary archaeological site featuring more than 650 ancient petroglyphs carved into the rock by various Native American cultures over centuries. After crossing Monticello, take the dirt track leading towards Hovenweep National Monument before reaching Cortez.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

5

Day 5 : Cortez/Bluff par Mesa Verde - 275 km

Begin your day exploring the remarkable Mesa Verde National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the ancient cliff dwellings of the Ancestral Puebloans cling dramatically to the canyon walls.

Continue towards the famous Four Corners Monument, the only place in the United States where you can stand in four states at the same time: Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico. You’ll then continue towards Bluff, with the choice between a classic scenic road or a more adventurous dirt track route through the desert landscapes of the American West.

Arrival in Bluff.

6

Day 6 : Bluff/Page - 325 km

Leave Bluff behind and head towards Page for one of the most spectacular days of the journey. Begin with the breathtaking landscapes of Valley of the Gods, a natural gallery of towering sandstone formations sculpted by erosion over millions of years. Continue with the legendary climb up Moki Dugway, a dramatic series of switchbacks carved directly into the cliffside, offering unforgettable panoramic views across the desert below.

Next, stop at Goosenecks State Park, where the winding bends of the San Juan River have carved a deep canyon through the layered sedimentary rock.

The highlight of the day is undoubtedly the crossing of the iconic Monument Valley, one of the most legendary landscapes of the American West. Discover famous viewpoints such as John Ford Point and Forrest Gump Point, instantly recognisable from countless movies and road-trip photographs. This succession of extraordinary landscapes creates an unforgettable day before arriving in Page, gateway to the stunning Lake Powell.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

7

Day 7 : Page/Kanab - 330 km

Leaving Page, begin your day with an early visit to the spectacular Antelope Canyon, where smooth sandstone walls sculpted by erosion create a mesmerising display of light, shadows and colours. Be prepared to share the experience with other travellers, as this iconic slot canyon is one of the most sought-after sites in the American West.

Continue to the famous Horseshoe Bend, where the Colorado River forms a dramatic curve through the canyon below. Your route then leads towards Marble Canyon and its historic bridge before continuing into Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, with its striking turquoise waters fed by Lake Powell.

The road finally takes you to the quieter and more remote North Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park, offering a far more intimate and wild atmosphere than the South Rim, while still showcasing the immense scale of this natural masterpiece. Your day ends in Kanab, a charming frontier town nestled between Utah and Arizona.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

8

Day 8 : Kanab/Bryce Canyon - 330 km

Leave Kanab behind and begin the day with a stop at Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, where striking pink dunes create an almost surreal desert landscape. From there, your route follows remote dirt tracks through the iconic scenery of Utah towards Zion National Park. After admiring Zion’s towering cliffs and dramatic canyon walls, continue along the spectacular Skutumpah Road.

This panoramic 80-kilometre dirt track crosses some of the region’s most extraordinary geological formations, offering constantly changing landscapes and a true feeling of adventure far from the crowds. This visually stunning day highlights the incredible diversity of Utah’s landscapes, from the deep canyons of Zion to the natural amphitheatres surrounding Bryce Canyon National Park — before arriving in Tropic.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

9

Day 9 : Bryce Canyon/Torrey - 230 km

Leave Tropic this morning and head towards Torrey. Your journey takes you onto the legendary Burr Trail, with around 60 kilometres of dirt tracks crossing some of the most remote and spectacular landscapes in the American West.

You’ll then continue through the magnificent Capitol Reef National Park, instantly recognisable for its towering rock formations, colourful cliffs and dramatic desert scenery. The geological diversity of this region is particularly striking, with constantly changing landscapes unfolding around every corner. Plan for frequent photo stops along the way before reaching Torrey, your destination for the day.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

10

Day 10 : Torrey/Salt Lake City - 390 km

Begin the day with an early departure towards Salt Lake City via Loa. Your route crosses remote areas of central Utah, passing through Whipup before continuing towards Emery and Ferron, small rural communities surrounded by wide-open landscapes and rugged mountains.

The journey then continues through Orangeville, gateway to the beautiful Joe's Valley Reservoir and its crystal-clear waters. If conditions allow, take the scenic Miller Flat Road for around 25 kilometres, offering spectacular panoramic views over the surrounding mountain landscapes. This scenic backroad eventually leads to Fairview before the final stretch towards Salt Lake City. This long crossing perfectly showcases the remarkable geographical diversity of Utah before reaching the city.

Overnight stay at the hotel.
