Complete USA Motorcycle Itinerary

1

Day 1 : Phoenix ou Kalispell

Depart on your international flight to the United States.

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed in either Phoenix or Kalispell, depending on the direction of your expedition (North to South or South to North).

After a personalised briefing, you'll take delivery of your Yamaha Ténéré 700, fully prepared for the legendary trails of the American West.

The day concludes with a welcome dinner, the perfect opportunity to meet the rest of the group before enjoying a restful night's sleep.

2

Days 2/3/4 : New Mexico

Nicknamed "The Land of Enchantment," New Mexico truly lives up to its reputation.

From the very first days, you'll experience an impressive variety of landscapes as the route alternates between pine forests, wide-open golden plains and remote backcountry tracks, leading to the authentic towns of Reserve and Cuba.

On the third day, the adventure takes on a true Dakar Rally atmosphere as you cross a spectacular desert section that will put your riding skills to the test. There is no race here, just the pure enjoyment of riding through extraordinary landscapes, with safety remaining the top priority.

Should rain make some unpaved sections temporarily impassable, the itinerary is simply adjusted to follow scenic paved backroads, which offer equally breathtaking views and an unforgettable riding experience.

3

Days 5/6/7 : Colorado

Colorado offers one of the most spectacular and most technical stages of the expedition.

The first kilometres provide a gentle warm-up as you gradually climb towards Stunner Pass before reaching Lake City, where you'll spend two nights.

The following day brings an unforgettable optional challenge: the legendary Alpine Loop. This iconic high-altitude route crosses both Cinnamon Pass and Engineer Pass, each rising above 3,800 metres. Covering around 65 km of rocky mountain trails, it is reserved for riders seeking one of the highlights of the Continental Divide.

The ride towards Buena Vista is more relaxed, offering a welcome break before the next adrenaline-filled section. The route then climbs towards Hagerman Pass, where rocky tracks and rugged terrain provide another rewarding riding challenge.

The final stage between Buena Vista and Eagle is pure riding pleasure, combining flowing single-track and double-track sections that perfectly showcase the versatility and capability of your Yamaha Ténéré 700 through the breathtaking landscapes of the Rocky Mountains.

Days 8/9/10 : Wyoming/Idaho

This new stage begins at a relaxed pace, but the distance soon sets the rhythm as you ride from Eagle to Rawlins via the charming mountain town of Steamboat Springs. It's the perfect transition before entering the vast open spaces of Wyoming.

The following day, Wyoming's high desert unfolds before you. Fast dirt roads and a few sandy sections provide an unforgettable riding experience. Wildlife is everywhere, and you'll often spot graceful Pronghorn roaming freely across the plains, giving this stage a distinctly African feel.

From Pinedale, wide gravel roads allow you to cover the miles before reaching the breathtaking scenery of Grand Teton National Park. The day comes to an end in Island Park after a ride through some of the most iconic landscapes of the American West.

5

Days 11/12/13 : Montana

From Butte, via Seeley Lake and Lincoln, the route gradually leaves behind the wide-open plains of Wyoming and winds into the dense forests of Montana. The air becomes cooler, the light softer, and the road twists through mountains and alpine lakes, creating unforgettable moments of freedom.

Rather than following the busy roads of Glacier National Park, the itinerary takes you along quiet, winding gravel tracks through some of Montana's most unspoilt wilderness before reaching Kalispell, just a short distance from the Canadian border.

Here, you'll spend your final evening in a historic downtown hotel before gathering for a farewell dinner with the group.

Nearly 4,000 kilometres of unforgettable riding, from one border to the other, through the most legendary landscapes of the American West.
